Kohen Hammond is an audio engineer, composer, and guitarist from Toronto, Ontario. He works in a variety of different mediums from music, to theatre, to podcasts. His music takes influence from a vast range of subjects such as: contemporary classical, folk, nature, and literature. He has released two albums under his name, Fragments of Moments and Written in the Margins.

His piece, Serious Distance, was awarded he Serge Garant Award as part of the 2017 SOCAN Young Composers Awards. His debut album Fragments of Moments was described by WholeNote as “a beautiful, cohesive artistic statement, by turns both ominous and comforting.” 

As an engineer he has worked on a variety of projects for many incredible projects for artists such as: Mingjia Chen, Bekkah Simms, Kieran Smyth, BADBADNOTGOOD, and many others.

Kohen is a graduate of the Humber Bachelor of Music Program. During his time there he had the pleasure to study composition and engineering with such incredible educators as Peter Cook, Andrew Mullin, David Occhipinti, and Geoff Young. While he was at Humber he was awarded the Ted Quinlan Guitar award and the Graham Clarke Memorial Scholarship.

He has spent the last four years on staff as an engineer and assistant engineer at one of Canada's premier studios Revolution Recording. While working at Revolution Recording he has had the privilege to work with an extensive list of Canadian and International musicians in a wide variety of genres.

He is also an in-demand freelance engineer in Toronto for album production, post-production work, and multimedia projects.
